David Garfias grew up playing academy soccer in Lima, Peru. He first began training at the prestigious Club de Regatas until he was recruited by Sporting Cristal’s academy for the Peruvian first devision team and one of the best football clubs in that country.
After immigrating to the United States, David played high school and college soccer in Florida and Peru. When injuries cut his playing career short, David eagerly turned to coaching, starting with a successful intercollegiate college team at Bob Jones University (Greenville, SC) and the university’s first traveling ministerial team.
As soon as his first child could begin dribbling a ball, David became committed to coaching youth soccer with winning recreational teams first in Connecticut and now in Texas. For the past decade, Coach David has been dedicated to helping children in the Rowlett community achieve their soccer dreams. A certified coach, he has worked with teams in Rowlett Youth Soccer Association as well as area academy and select competitions.
